Choosing the Right Contractor

Whenever having any work done to your house, a little common sense will help ensure your dealing with a reputable, legitimate business. We are believers that you get what you pay for.

1) On their initial appointment, is their vehicle marked appropriately? It NEEDS commercial tags and identification of the name of their company on the vehicle to be legal, check it

3) How many people do they use to do your job? One is very dangerous, two is acceptable and three is best.

4) What type of equipment do they use? Is it “mounted” or is it portable (can you lift it off a pick up or van?). If so, chances are very good that the equipment is too small to do the job thoroughly and efficiently. *Ours are ALL mounted in or on trailers.

5) Speaking of equipment, they should have a pressure washer, mounted, with AT LEAST 4 gallons per minute! Ours ALL have 5 gallons or more per minute. It makes a HUGE difference!! ASK THEM!

6) Ask about the products they use. Do they use bleach, Clorox or any other product that could harden your shingles, damage your roof, landscaping, pets or gutters and downspouts in addition to voiding your shingle warranty? SOME DO!!

7) What about their appearance, presentation and demeanor of the representatives of the company? Are you comfortable?

8) Are they “jacks of all trades” or do they only SPECIALIZE in roof cleaning? We ONLY wash roofs!! Are they knowledgeable of your problem or are they just repeating what they’ve read online

9) Ask for references. At least 3-5 clients. Get their name and telephone number and call them! If possible, visually check their work.

10) If you feel comfortable with all of the above-chances are that you’re dealing with REPUTABLE COMPANY!!
